Meet Will! What a sweetheart this 11.5 year old hound mix is! He has had a heart condition for a little while, but was recently diagnosed with severe heart disease. You would never know it, as with most of the senior dogs I photograph! Will gave me a good five minutes of sitting and looking at the camera. The rest of the time, he told me and mom, Sandy that he was going to do his own thing and if I wanted to photograph him, I was free to do so! 🙂
Sandy says her roommate got Will and his sister from want ad while she was on vacation. “When I came home I couldn’t say no.” Could you blame her?
When Sandy and Will go for a walk, she puts on his leash and gives it to him. He carries it in his mouth and few houses away he will drop it for her to carry. Sandy says, “I think he just wants to concentrate on sniffing. He has taught me to slow down.”
