SPCA of Wake County Dog Walk 2015 – video

Apr 20, 2015

The SPCA of Wake County 2015 K93K was a huge success!  More than 4,000 people and dogs took over the streets of downtown Raleigh Saturday, April 18th.  The weather was gorgeous and there was so much fun to be had!  Food trucks, dog contests, souvenir photos and more!  I had so much photographing families for my fourth year in a row!  This year, I ordered a “step and repeat” backdrop for the souvenir photo booth and am donating it to the SPCA for future events!  I know this has been on their “wish list” for a while and they will get so much use out of it!

I also had the honor of being a part of a special proposal!  Talk about a great finace!  He contacted me weeks before the walk to devise a plan on how to capture the special moment. Joe and Leslie have participated in the walk many times and it’s a tradition to get their photo at the souvenir photo booth!  Joe figured this might be the easiest way to surprise Leslie who had previously caught on to his plan to propose a while back!  Oh happy day!  And he had a gift certificate ready to go for their engagement photo session!  I can’t wait!  Clearly their sweet dog Breslin is excited too! I think he said “finally” dad since the couple has been together for nearly ten years!

I also finally set up as a “real” vendor this time.  Usually I just do the photos and may leave out some of my work on the table at the tent.  This year I finally got my own banner with my logo! I’ve been wanting to get one for a while and finally realized it was worth the money!

Here is a video I made from this year’s walk! I hope you will enjoy seeing all the happy families!  I could watch it over and over again!

Check out the online gallery to find your photo booth pictures and other images from the walk!

The photo on the left is the “normal” stop to the photo booth! The one of the right is after Joe proposed.  I think you can see the relief on Joe’s face and Leslie and Breslin’s excitement! Ahhh! So sweet and special!
